On Monday, May 5th at 7:00pm at Barnes & Noble in Union Square, Andrew Adamson, director and co-writer of Walt Disney Pictures / Walden Media’s “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” will read from C. S. Lewis’ Prince Caspian. The film will hit the big screen on May 16th.
Following the reading, there will be a panel discussion with Ben Barnes (Prince Caspian), William Moseley, (Peter Pevensie), Anna Popplewell (Susan Pevensie), and Georgie Henley (Lucy Pevensie). The group will take questions from the audience and have a signing session following the Q&A.

The girls go wild as the teen dream combo of William Moseley (Peter) and Ben Barnes (Prince Caspian) enthrall the crowd at New York City’s Comic Con. Producer Mark Johnson and veteran dwarf actor Peter Dinklage (Trumpkin)soaked up the atmosphere with beaming smiles. The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian crew were in full effect. A bashful fan begs William Moseley for a hug, and without hesitation, he leaps off the stage and gives her a warm embrace. I don’t think that girl will shower for weeks.
We were treated to an action packed new trailer for The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, set to debut before Iron Man on May 2nd. After the panel, the Disney folks herded the actors and producer to the press room for the interviews. We were treated to some new news on the third Narnia film, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and a surprising revelation that the trailer’s emphatic declaration by Ben Barnes is actually not in the film. Check out our video interviews of William Moseley and Peter Dinklage, then Ben Barnes and Producer Mark Johnson.

Cast and crew for Disney’s upcoming Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian fielded audience questions this morning at the New York Comic Con. On hand were stars Ben Barnes (Prince Caspian), William Moseley (Peter Pevensie), Peter Dinklage (Trumpkin), as well as producer Mark Johnson.
Johnson said that the third Narnia film, Voyage of the Dawn Treader, will begin shooting this October and is looking at a May 2010 release date.
Following with the book, Caspian will be in the next movie, along with only two of the Pevensie children. While there are seven books in the Narnia series by C.S. Lewis, Johnson said that there are no plans at this time to make more Narnia films after Dawn Treader. Johnson followed up by saying that if the next two films are successful, there could be a possible to continue with the film saga, with The Silver Chair being the next one.
Barnes and Moseley talked a little bit about their characters’ initial rivalry and struggle to take control over their situation, as well as the stunts that they got to do. Dinkage spoke about the three hours it took to for the make-up department to apply the prosthetics to transform him into Trumpkin, the dwarf leader of the Prince Caspian loyalists who live in hiding from the evil Telmarine King Miraz.
The only footage shown at the panel was the previously released TV spot.

New Zealand is rapidly cementing its place as a superb filmmaking location – so after the success of The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, it was no surprise that Kiwi director Andrew Adamson chose to return to direct the next in the Narnia series. Proud of New Zealand’s contribution, New Zealand Post is delighted to present this range of Prince Caspian stamps and collectables – a new addition to the movie-based issues that have proved so popular with collectors and movie-goers alike.
