EXCLUSIVE Easy Virtue Review!!
My good friend Livy has been lucky enough to find herself at the Toronto International Film Festival for the past few years. This year she was able to get tickets to see Easy Virtue. She was kind enough to write an exclusive review for us. Enjoy!

STEPHAN Elliott, director of The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, is back on the scene after a long hiatus. His adaptation of the Noel Coward play Easy Virtue will have its premiere at the Toronto Film Festival before a possible run at the London Film Festival and its commercial release. The film, with an eclectic cast including Jessica Biel, Kristin Scott Thomas, Colin Firth and The Chronicles of Narnia’s Ben Barnes, was made in London, with the resurgent Ealing Studios among its producers. It has been picked up for Australian distribution through Hopscotch although the release date is not set. After bursting on to the scene with Frauds, which premiered at Cannes, then Priscilla and the shall we say ambitious Welcome to Woop Woop, Elliott’s 1999 thriller, Eye of the Beholder, made some money before Elliott seemed to disappear from screens. His return is keenly anticipated.

Ealing Studios Intl. is dusting off its fishnet stockings and making a sequel to hit Brit laffer “St. Trinians.”
“St. Trinians 2: The Legend of Fritton’s Gold” will once again be helmed by Oliver Parker and studio topper Barnaby Thompson.
Announcement was made as part of Ealing’s unveiling of its international slate.
Other projects include Oliver Parker’s Oscar Wilde adaptation “Dorian Gray” and Amma Asante’s “Where Hands Touch.”
The sequel to “St. Trinians” will likely re-team most of the original’s cast, with lensing set to start in January next year.
The next installment of the Brit schoolgirl romp finds the mischief-making heroines set off on a treasure hunt after they discover headmistress Miss Fritton, played by Rupert Everett in drag, is related to pirates.
“It would be good with ‘St. Trinians’ to get the old gang back in,” studio topper Barnaby Thompson told Variety. “With ‘Dorian Gray’ the idea is to give it a sexy, contemporary feel but still doing it in period.”
Ben Barnes (“The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian”) plays the lead role with principal photography set to begin July 28.

You’ve seen the posters or huge billboards; that gorgeous, dark-haired guy in armor, sword in hard looking directly at us under veiled lids. Wow! Even if you never ever heard of Narnia, you might want to flock to theaters for The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian based on that hot gaze alone!
Ben Barnes, who is in his 20′s playing 17 or 18 in “Caspian”, was whisked off the London stage where he was a hit in “The History Boys” and dropped down in New Zealand for a crash course in big Hollywood filmmaking while being dragged behind a horse! It’s been a series of whirlwind publicity and public appearances for the dark and handsome young star-in-the-making and, when we finally caught up with him on the phone, he had a bad throat infection but was on his way to the New York Stock Exchange to ring the closing bell for the day! Whew! Then, after a short break, he gets to do it all again for the next Narnia installment The Dawn Treader.
We were excited to get to know this cutie and found him to be funny and earnest about everything from his quick launch by the Hollywood starmaker machine (he had only a small part in Stardust playing young Dunstan before this role) to what he was like at 16 and what qualities he’s looking for in someone to date. If you find one of those hot posters to stare at on and off while reading this, we don’t blame you!
TeenHollywood: We heard that you weren’t feeling so swift so thanks for talking to us.
Ben: I just have a bit of a nasty throat infection but antibiotics is clearing it up.
